Alejandro "Alex" De Leon
Alex grew up around the business. He gave his 8th grade "how-to" presentation on: How to Read Stock Tickers. A decade later he earned his securities license, after graduating from St. Mary's University with a BBA in finance.
Over the next twenty years, Alex managed client money for three large money center banks. During this time, he learned that the industry was in desperate need for change. Profit motives were prioritized instead of doing what was best for clients. With this realization, he began searching for a solution.
Spotlight Financial is that solution.
Before he began his career, Alex was dedicated to the pursuit of sport. He was awarded a scholarship to play collegiate tennis. And in 2006, he was part of a men's national championship team. Over the next fifteen years, he traveled around Texas captaining a men's soccer team with a crew of his childhood friends.
Away from work, his favorite activities include coaching his son's soccer team and reading. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Corpus Christi Literary Reading Series, which has celebrated literature since 1987.

Bob Gorman
Bob took an unconventional route to the financial services industry. With a bachelor's degree in biology from SUNY Potsdam in 1989, he could not have been further away from the investment management career path. Griffin Financial Services in Albany, NY took a chance on him in 1990, and he has not looked back. Grateful for the opportunity, he poured everything he had into learning the business. In 1992, he moved to Tampa, Florida, where he took a job as a financial advisor for Great Western Investment Management, and in 1994, he found his home in Corpus Christi, Texas when he joined NationsBank Investments. NationsBank became Bank of America and eventually purchased Merrill Lynch, where he worked until 2016. He then took a job with Wells Fargo Advisors before partnering with Alex DeLeon to create Spotlight Financial in March of 2024. With his passion re-ignited, he and his team are delighted to offer their transparent, educational approach to assisting clients with their wealth and risk management.
When away from work, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife of 13 years, Kristen, their two wonderful daughters, Kolbie (9) and Carly (5), and their spirited lab, Lambeau (3). He has been honored to serve as President of the Board for the YMCA of the Coastal Bend, President of the Six Points Kiwanis Club, and as Secretary for the Corpus Christi Country Club Board of Directors. His hobbies include golf and snowboarding.

Armando "Mandy" De Leon
With nearly 40 years of experience in financial consulting, Armando J. De Leon brings extensive knowledge and a distinctive touch to every client relationship. He holds dual bachelor's degrees in business and science from the University of Portland. Armando began his career in Corpus Christi with Touche Ross CPAs where his developing accounting background in auditing, taxes, and management systems eventually facilitated his path into the financial world. The social skills in addition to the financial literacy growth opened an opportunity for Armando to join Merrill Lynch in 1986. Armando has worked alongside his trusted assistant, Diana Paris, since then and with his son, Alex—now President of Spotlight Financial—for more than 20 years. He takes pride in building lifelong relationships and considers his clients, their siblings, and their grandchildren as part of his extended family.
Active in the community, Armando is a member of the Padre Isles Rotary Club, has coached youth soccer and basketball in Flour Bluff for more than 15 years, and serves as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Andrew's Church. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, bike riding, working out at the gym, and highly appreciated snow-skiing which he is praying to return to after two knee replacements. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family, especially his three sons and four grandchildren.

Diana Paris

Phoebe Glemba
Phoebe was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona with financially savvy family members around her her whole life. With a knack for business and math, she went on to receive her bachelor's degree in management from Arizona State University in 2018. Over the next six years, she explored various customer service and administrative roles in education, retail, and the funeral home and cemetery consulting industry. In late 2024, in her pursuit of a second college degree eager to find what God's purpose was for her life, she stumbled upon a financial management class as an elective. It was on that course that she believed the Lord was guiding her into finance, as she had excitement and interest in the material like she had never felt before. One opportunity after another started presenting itself, and she was eventually referred to Alex De Leon. After several phone and zoom conversations and much prayer, she packed up her belongings and moved to Corpus Christi in January of 2025 where she was graciously welcomed on board the Spotlight team. She has since discovered a desire to help people live in both faithful and financial freedom, a discipline that she feels has been lost in the young generation. Phoebe is eager to see how God utilizes that in her life.
Outside of work, she loves to visit family in Arizona any time she can. You can usually find her along with her parents and siblings playing music and singing together or resting amongst the peace and tranquility of the northern Arizona outdoors.

Ashlyn Clark
Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Ashlyn Clark is a senior at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance. After a few pursuits majoring in accounting, marketing, and management, Ashlyn realized the drive and passion she had for investment strategy and financial planning. Unintentionally meeting Alex De Leon, the president here at Spotlight, at a local bowling alley of all places, she couldn't shake the idea of working alongside the team. As of early 2025, Ashlyn serves as an Executive Assistant, where she contributes to the firm's mission of uncomplicating finance by bringing organization, warmth, and clarity to every client interaction. With experience in client relations, bookkeeping, and accounts receivable and payable, Ashlyn blends strong organizational skills with a genuine enthusiasm for clear communication and financial understanding.
Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys photography, thrifting, travelling, playing pickleball, listening to live music, spending sunrises at the beach, and serving as a leader for Young Life, an internationally active high school ministry that focuses on creating authentic friendships that pursue the message of God's love. Her dedication to service reflects her belief in the importance of connection, integrity, and leadership — both in and out of the workplace.
